The Somervell County Personnel Office will be accepting applications for:

Greenskeeper 1 - part-time for golf course maintenance applicants must be at least 17 yrs. of age at the time of application.

Job Summary

Greens mowing, tee mowing, trap raking, flower bed work, drainage work, other duties as required to maintain golf course/landscaping.

2-5 positions - 40 hours per week not to exceed 20 weeks. May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands

Requires considerable standing and walking and bending. May require lifting of different quantities of pesticides and fertilizers in excess of 50 pounds

Wages

$6.50 - $7.00 per hr. to be determined by experience.

2 Positions - Mowing Crew - Part-Time

Applications for these positions must be at least 17 yrs. of age at the time of application.

Supervisor: Mowing Crew/Landscaping Supervisor

Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs landscaping and grounds maintenance of various county owned facilities and parks as well as maintenance and upkeep of county roads or related structures.

Exapmples of work performed:

• Mowing, weed-eating, brush cutting, tree trimming, etc.
• May do culvert repairs and patch pot-holes on county roads.
• Performs other job-related duties as required

Working Conditions

Works 40 hours per week not to exceed 20 weeks.

Physical Demands

Requires considerable standing, walking bending and stooping. May require lifting of equipment in excess of 40 lbs.

Wages

$6.50 to $7.00 per hour to be determined by experience.
